Web Designer/Webmaster
Responsibilities include:
  • Creative Responsibilities (what sets you apart from the pack)
  • • Hands-on design and implementation of new brand sites.
  • • Partner with Marketing to develop a web development strategy that meets corporate goals and improves overall user experience.
  • • Develop SEO programs to continuously optimize website and improve natural search rankings.
  • • Define and execute social media programs to grow and enhance our consumer relationships and audience development.
  • • Participate and lead organizational planning to ensure our online structure reflects changing business environments.
  • • Act as an in-house consultant to support teams writing RFPs for large web related projects.
  • Technical Responsibilities (the nitty gritty)
  • • Execute daily maintenance of website and supporting databases
  • • Incorporate the latest technologies into the web site to ensure the highest level of customer experience
  • • Provide digital assets to our ecommerce partners (i.e. commercials, demo videos, product photography)
  • • Moderate forums and online product reviews
  • • Support Sales team with e-mail blast initiatives
  • • Perform website statistical analysis as it relates to campaigns and site traffic and make recommendations for best practices
Experience:
  • Qualifications (your guru-ness)
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Information Systems, New Media, Web Design or related field.
  • • 5+ years of (verifiable) experience developing with web based technologies – building, enhancing and maintaining websites
  • • Creative and graphic design skills with an understanding of DHTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS, Flash as well as graphic design programs PhotoShop and Illustrator.
  • • Working knowledge of publishing systems Expression Engine and WordPress.
  • • Familiarity with back-end technologies such as mySQL and UNIX a plus.
  • • Present ideas and designs to small and large groups with ease
  • • Write and edit smart and succinct RFPs in your sleep
