Brand Management experience on children’s products required
Provide overall business management for one or more brands. Responsible for new product development, financial management and operational execution, sales, brand strategy, and communication.
Lead cross-departmental teams in the design, development, engineering, costing (finance), packaging, promotion, advertising, and sales of products within brands.
Responsibilities include:
- New Product Development (50%)
- Lead development of new products / brands from concept to launch
- Determine pricing
- Direct packaging
- Manage cost issues
- Excellent presentation skills

- Finance / Operations (20%)
- Manage overall brand volume and profit to deliver financially viable brands
- Manage brand budgets
- Track business results to understand issues, successes
- Develop accurate forecasts
- Resolve inventory and production issues that arise

- Sales (10%)
- Work with Sales to develop effective channel management plans
- Develop materials for selling & train sales team to sell brands / products
- Develop retailer exclusive items
- Recommend plan-o-gram sets for retailers

- Brand Communication (10%)
- Develop ad strategy and execute
- Partner to drive consumer promotions
- Drive effective PR and web strategies
- Create meaningful collateral materials that are on strategy

- Strategic Direction (10%)
- Define Brand / Product Vision
- Develop consumer positioning for brands / products
- Develop and execute brand / product plans
Experience:
- Must have 3-5 years brand/product marketing experience and 2-3 years of marketing children’s products
- Undergraduate degree from a four year college or university
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- A positive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment
- A strong desire to manage a business and proven ability to do so
- Solid team building, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills
- A passion for delivering great play experiences to children
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to creatively apply skills and techniques to solve problems
- A strong desire to take on new challenges
- Good sense of humor
- MBA is a plus
